Auckland Arts Festival (User experience design, web redesign, web development, web app)

The Auckland Arts Festival approached us with a pre-established brand and associated guidelines. But their brand personality (fun, vivacious, energetic and inclusive) was in no way represented throughout the visual language used on their site. Additionally, their website was unresponsive (unfit for mobile) with a poor structure to their content, making it hard for users to find what they were looking for.

​We were tasked with a complete overhaul of the information architecture / UX design, a redesign of the front end to maximise the energy and life of the brand, a rebuild of their back end content management system and the delivery of a completely responsive website on both mobile and tablet.

My role was to ring-fence all of the overarching objectives and requirements, managing briefings, timings, budgets and stakeholder feedback throughout the course of the project. I lead the project team and key client relationships from festival director through to marketing coordinators, alongside our Creative Director. I drafted the technical specifications, was responsible for the quality assurance around content, testing of the final product and ongoing liaison right through to go live. 

This project required an intricate API integration with their partner, Ticket Master, and the channel pathway and testing process was hugely complex and financially critical.

The outcome saw a 30% increase in mobile users and the supporting web app we produced took out Bronze at the Best Awards in 2015.
